Welcome to the online home of the Pilgrim Canadian Reformed Church of London
Pilgrim was in the name of the building when we purchased it in 1966, which reflected a historical connection to the early settlers called "Pilgrims" who came to North America from England. The Bible describes believers in the Old Testament as pilgrims who knew that this world was temporary and that their eternal home would be with God (Hebrew 11:13-16). As believers in the New Testament era, we continue this journey today as pilgrims looking forward to Christ's return. We are Canadian, meaning that God has placed us in this beautiful country with the calling to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ, to live as respectable citizens and to promote the coming of His Kingdom. We are Reformed, meaning that our historic and theological roots go back to the great Reformation of the early sixteenth century, when God caused his church to return to the faithful teachings of the Bible, for instance, the importance of Scripture alone, and salvation in Christ alone through faith alone and by grace alone. We are Church, meaning a gathering of a community of people who believe in, worship, and witness to the Triune God, namely God the Father who has created us, God the Son who has redeemed us and God the Holy Spirit who renews us. We are of London, meaning that we are a local congregation of the federation of Canadian Reformed Churches located in the beautiful City of London, Ontario.
